We thought we were done (after all the Congress is!) but Samsung still had one more treat for us that nearly escaped my net...

The Samsung 'SGH-P960' is likely to be the first in a wave of many so-called 'fashion' handsets to make the move to incorporate mobile TV - telcos love the revenue opportunities and are desperate to convince a cynical public that they can't do without being away from the goggle box even on the move.

To be fair, the P960 does as good a job as any to date of making this a compelling proposition. At 16.5mm thick it is one of the slimmest mobile TV handsets to surface so far and by choosing DVB-H it has picked the formal standard for Europe. On top of this the P960 features HSDPA, a large 2.6in QVGA display, a 3MP camera, FM tuner with RDS, web browser, multimedia playback functionality and Bluetooth 2.0.

Unlike many of the handsets it showed earlier in the week, Samsung offered no hint of a release timeframe, but late Q2/early Q3 seems about right.

Right. That's it. MWC is done. That's a wrap. Over and out. Adiós.

(...I think)
