On Christmas Day last year I published a story (I just can't stop giving) which mentioned the potential leak of Nokia's upcoming N95 replacement, the imaginatively titled 'N96'. Well, if the cat wasn't out the bag then, it certainly is now...

Nokia Germany accidentally posted the specifications page of the N96 (it's now been killed, but the Google page reference - above - gives the game away) and here's what we found out:

It's a Quad band, HSDPA handset with (presumably improved) five megapixel camera, DVB-H mobile TV support, GPS, WiFi, 16GB of storage plus microSD slot, 2.8in QVGA display, FM tuner, support for MP3, AAC, WMA and Mpeg4 multimedia formats and a mobile browser with flash support (as is de rigueur these days). At 103 x 55 x 18mm and 125g it's slightly thinner and virtually the same weight as the love-or-hate-it N95.

Interestingly, Nokia has also seemingly shied away from the dual slider approach of the N95, going with a more traditional single slider format. That said, this is only going off 'leaked' photos and the final product could be somewhat different.

Dates? Price? Expect the remaining details to be outted at the Mobile World Congress next week.
