Well, you heard about the 16GB iPhone exclusively first on TrustedReviews this morning and now we can bring you its confirmation along with a surprise bonus: a 32GB iPod touch.

The new models will be identical to their predecessors except for the welcome storage boosts and will go on sale immediately with the iPhone costing £329 in the UK ($499 US - again I was spot on) and the iPod touch 32GB for a matching $499 (no UK pricing as yet).

The most obvious reasoning behind the move - other than to keep up with competitors like SanDisk and Creative who have already put 32GB Sansa and ZEN players on the market, is the impending arrival of the SDK. With native applications set to arrive on the duo this month they will likely eat into the limited storage available - particularly in the case of the 8GB iPhone.

I'll update you soon with the new iPod touch price. Fingers crossed price drops to the older models are also coming soon...

Update: The 32GB iPod touch is also £329 giving you that warm and familiar feeling of a horrible dilemma...

Update 2:
Couple of formal photos for you:

Update 3: UK Pages now live: 32GB iPod touch and 16GB iPhone.
