You may remember when the first iPhone fanboy pictures began turning up on the web they looked uncannily like this...

Sadly for these budding artists and current copier LG, things have moved on substantially since then with the much lauded multi-touch interface sweeping all before it and the Click Wheel inching ever closer to its place in illustrious tech history.

That said, the 3G nano and iPod Classic still prove there is plenty of mileage left in the interface and LG's 'Rhapsody' handset is no dinosaur either. The 3G slider has 1GB of internal memory, the aforementioned swanky ring controller, a microSD slot, 2MP camera and - in Korea - its DMB tuner will pick up digital broadcasts.

Sadly, this last feature will likely kill the Rhapsody's chances of a European launch since the EC recently formalised the adoption of DVB-H. Well that and the fact Apple lawyers are likely adopting Crouching Tiger positions in anticipation of a wider release.

The LG Rhapsody goes on sale in Korea this month for just £265 (equivalent) making it something of bargain. 12 months ago this would have moistened our most tender of parts, but now... not so much.
