Just as Nokia was getting ready to launch its Ovi platform a certain squishy material has hit the fan.

According to Reuters both the Finn's N-Gage mobile gaming service and its online music store have suffered setbacks. The former has suffered due to testing delays and will now not launch until December, while the latter has had infamously testy label Warner Music pull its content at the last minute.

Reuters quote Nokia spokesman Kari Tuutti saying "N-gage is coming in December. Software testing is taking a bit more time than what we had expected" but he fails to elaborate further.

As for flighty Warner it is unhappy with concerns about illegal downloads at Nokia's 'Mosh' file sharing site. Despite the platform having an integrated scanning system to check files as they pass through the service (and having done so successfully with more than 6m active users), Warner says that's not enough.

Of course a settlement will be reached and content will inevitably return and this is just as likely to be an example of Warner flexing its industry might as genuine concern.

Oh well, cheer up guys - weekend's here!
