It's hard to criticise networks for copying one another. You see I could have had a go at T-Mobile for launching Just Sim so soon after O2 began its Sim-only Simplicity tariff, but then T-Mobile announces MyFaves and O2 comes up with this...

'Your O2 Numbers' is a bolt-on package the telco will offer to all PAYG and pay monthly customers and it lets them spread an extra 1000 minutes or texts between the ten numbers they contact most for just £5. Yep, we're in flattery territory again...

In fact, for all its obvious me-too-dom this is an impressive deal. To qualify a customer must have been with O2 for over 30 days and once the package is added onto a deal it goes live within 48 hours. If a subscriber doesn't know which 10 numbers to pick O2 will even help out, automatically evaluating which people you contact the most from previous bills. If circumstances change (I knew he/she/it was no good for you that cheating...) numbers in your top 10 can also be swapped once every 30 days.

Update: Some confusion about service availability on this one since I've had emails questioning both PAYG and pay monthly eligibility. A quick search on the site clears it up though:

"Your O2 Numbers is available to all O2 Pay & Go customers. Pay Monthly customers are not eligible for this offer."

Let that be the end of it ;)
