I first had whiff of this me-too collaboration back in July but now Samsung has put some couture on those bones.

In something of a shock the company hasn't actually announced a brand new handset but rather rebadged the P520 which we saw two months ago. Well, they say styles are cyclical...

Consequently we are presented with yet another iPhone-a-like touchscreen inspired model with a 2.6in QVGA display and redesigned finger friendly GUI. A 3MP camera is a nice addition while support for H.263, AAC+, MP3, WMA and Mpeg4 is useful and Bluetooth with A2DP and PictBridge plus a microSD expansion slot round off a highly competent - if not inspiring - device.

Still, at 87.5 x 54.5 x 10.5mm and 85g the 'Giorgio Armani-Samsung' (to give its rather lumpy official name) is highly portable and certainly performs the role of iPhone-Lite/LG Prada clone admirably. As for Samsung President Geesung Choi's cheeky declaration that "This is a groundbreaking collaboration" however, we'll leave that to LG's lawyers...

No RRP or release info was divulged but with nothing especially groundbreaking here expect it in early Q4 and to be virtually free on most midrange contracts and above.

Update:
Official Armani stamped shots are now here. Sammy has also revealed the handset will hive Vibetonz feedback on the touchscreen - which could an extra gem.
