Well more iPhone news, you knew it kinda had to be...

For those whose patience is beginning to wear a little thin please know this: it is worse having to write it than read it! For the rest of you insatiable iPhonatics here's the skinny on the first iTunes support and iPhone friendly peripherals.

iTunes 7.3 is what you'll need if you want your iPhone to play nice with your computer and it enables full music, video and personal data synchronisation with both Mac and PC. Perhaps most interesting however is the secret integration of 'ringtone images' (spotted by Engadget) which suggests music ringtones will be possible, though at this stage it is unknown whether they can be user created or just downloaded from iTunes for a fee...

Secondly, if splashing out $499/$599 of your hard earned cash and signing away two years of your life were not enough of an investment Apple has also unveiled its first Apple branded range of iPhone accessories.

10 are initially available and comprise a Bluetooth headset with 5.5 hours of talk time (72 hours standby) for $129 (bit pointless without A2DP though?), a USB power adaptor for $29, a dock for charging and syncing an iPhone which also features an audio line out for powered speakers for $49, a dock connector for $19, a dual dock (charges both iPhone and Bluetooth headset) for $49, a universal dock adaptor (three pack) for $9, an iPhone Stereo headset with call answer/hang-up functionality (like the one bundled) for $29, a $29 Bluetooth travel cable, a $179 AirPort Extreme Base Station for WiFi access (not really iPhone specific) and a TTY adaptor for $19.

Oh and for the uber-nerdy Apple has posted the iPhone user manual online here (pdf warning) meaning you can read it without even owning the device.

That's it for now. I hope...
