Blackberry has just announced its sexiest device to date and UK networks are already all over it.

The 'Curve' – also known as the 8300 – is essentially a stripped down version of the fantastic 8800 which loses the onboard GPS, but at just 107 x 60 x 16mm and a mere 111g it is substantially smaller and lighter than its bigger brother.

Also working for the Curve is its feature set which – which by no means cutting edge – is certainly competent for a device this size. Kicking us off is a large QVGA screen, backed up by a two megapixel camera, 64MB of memory, Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity and a MicroSD expansion slot. Yes, this is no powerhouse, but it does manage a healthy 240 minutes natter time.

Both Vodafone and O2 have immediately announced they're feeling the love for the Curve and it will be available to customers of both networks from 21 May. As you would expect, the Curve will come free on most large monthly contracts, but so far neither network has given away any specific pricing details.
