We’ve already previewed and reviewed the HTC TyTN and like it very much thank you. Networks, on the other hand, seem to be been a little slow itngetting out there but - like many an Oxford High Street buses – after a period of silence they all turn up at once.

In the last week Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone have all announced the revered smartphone will be appearing on their tariffs in the UK this month and I suspect the delay has more to do with the providers spitting and polishing their HSDPA networks for the device than any hardware hold ups.

As is the norm with contracted HTC devices each network has seen fit to change the name so look out for the ‘T-Mobile Vario II’ (left), ‘Vodafone v1605’ (middle), and ‘Orange SPV M31000’ (right). Recently HTC got sick of other’s taking credit for its work however so if you want one of these without a contract (for whatever financially suicidal reason) it can be bought in its original form as the HTC TyTN (below) for a whopping £599.95.

By contrast, should you take up a contract Vodafone and Orange will charge up to a maximum of £250 depending on the price plan while T-Mobile slightly undercuts both asking for £242 on just a £19pm deal. It is also worth noting the latter’s ridiculously reasonable data rates since with HSDPA on this baby you’re likely to do a lot of surfing. Riyad has one from Orange in his grasp, the lucky *?&@...!
