Can other manufacturers please make break some records? It can be anything… World’s Most Cylindrical Memory Key for all I care, just so long as it adds some variation to my day.

Until then current Wonder Boy/Class Swot Samsung has been at it again. Following the industry’s first 19in notebook and the world’s slimmest 14in notebook, we now have the teeniest mobile phone ever.

The SGH-E888 measures just 87 x 47 x 23mm, a truly titchy form factor. It also weighs a bulimic 88g, though this is no lighter than the company’s own E730. As you can see from the photos, the E888 is a slider too, in the style of the D500, but it grabs its gold because it is fully operational even in the “shut” position.

As for the specs themselves, what we know isn’t too shabby either. The display has a nice 176 x 220 resolution and 64k colours. It plays MP3s and comes with 80MB of onboard memory (no word on SD Card slots yet), though the 180 degree swivel camera is just one megapixel. An 820mAh battery is fitted, but battery life remains a closely guarded secret.

Availability is expected in time for the E888 to make it into Santa’s sack (which will no doubt save the old man some serious back pain) and all respect to Samsung for being brave enough to part with the female bimbo stereotypes and go with a blonde himbo instead.

Right, that’s enough back slapping, can we have the bimbos back please?

Note:
Another world record!?! Yup, Samsung has just shown off a 102in high definition plasma display. Of course, the real question is: does anyone have a room big enough to fit it?
