The bright and punchy 4.2in AMOLED screen of the Samsung Galaxy S II is the first thing you notice about this remarkable phone. The next thing you’ll notice is the slim and light design of the phone which belies its large footprint. The 1.2GHz dual-core processor means Android 2.4 flies along and the phone’s unrivalled video decoding means it ticked all the boxes for our judges and was a worthy winner of Best Mobile Phone of 2011.
