This year saw budget smartphones really come of age, and offer a relatively full smartphone experience at a low price. The Orange San Francisco (aka the ZTE Blade) was the phone which led the way offering a superb 3.5in screen, decent processor as well as a nice design and feel. However it was the sub-£100 price point which was the true revelation of this phone with our judges giving it full marks for value across the board - though not enough to take top spot this year.
