We're a little late with this one, but IFA was calling so - without further delay - I really must show you this...

Chinese website iMobile has garnered quite the scoop grabbing the first real world photographs of the impending Android based HTC Dream and in full T-Mobile branding. The Dream (we still don't know if that will be the official launch title) will be the world's first handset to use Google's much anticipated open source operating system.

So what do we make of the snaps? Well, barring the call, hang up, home and back keys along the bottom we're seeing pretty much what we expected. For a long time we have known the Dream would contain a physical sliding keyboard and look like many of HTC's previous Windows Mobile based smartphones and that is exactly what we've got. That said it would've been nice to see the slide runners positioned closer to the edges to give the keyboard more horizontal width - those aren't the largest keys I've ever seen...

The Dream should become official this week, so keep your eyes peeled for coverage of the full announcement on TR.
