Samsung Preps 8MP, GPS, DivX, 16GB Smartphone Comments

i wish the manufacturers would start to focus a little bit more on the lens quality and optical zoom into those phones, only then will i trow out all my others gadgets and just get that phone.

I have to confess - I'm tempted, but I'm inclinded to side a little with the guys who want a 640-pixel screen, rather than 320x240.

Sure, the 8MP optics might not be that great but in many other regards, this is iPhone 3G-matching (or beating) spec with what would surely be a vastly better camera. If you can agree with me that far then all that's left is operating system: can Samsung (or anyone) rival Apple for interface slickness and userbility.

Maybe Google's Android can do it (or be easily modified by others to)...
