While I have just been singing the praises of T-Mobile's 50p per day handset surfing, novices may be wondering exactly what to do with it. If you have a Nokia mobile phone this is a good start...

The Finns have launched 'Nokia Internet Radio', a beta streaming radio service which provides access to a large selection of the web's stations as well as filtering by name, language, country, genre and popularity.

Users will be able to bookmark their favourite stations for easy recall, while both 3G and WiFi equipped handsets will be compatible (even though the beta software initially only works on the N82, N91 and N95 variants). Audio quality settings can be manually adjusted too depending on the type and strength of the connection you're currently using.

If this is (streamed) music to your ears then download the beta software here.

Adding a right hook to this meaty jab is news that Nokia is also releasing a tasty upgrade to its 'multimedia computer', the Nokia N95. Now while the appeal of this ugly, weighty brick completely baffles me, those wooed by its flakey GPS, underperforming camera, shoddy build quality and pocket ripping potential will be thrilled with update '20.0.15'.

Amongst the host of improvements are three extra hours battery life when playing music, a new version of Nokia Maps with faster GPS locking, newly customisable menu structures and a bunch of N-Gage demos. Get it from the main Nokia device software update page here and maybe, just maybe, it'll make you feel better about buying such a hideous handset.

Probably not though...
