It was only back in July that RIM introduced its first WiFi equipped Blackberry, but it hasn't wasted any time since...

Launching in the UK this month on O2 is the 'Pearl 8120', the first Pearl to come with integrated wireless connectivity. This isn't the only upgrade however, with the 8120 receiving an improved 2MP camera, light sensitive screen, updated multimedia player and ever-so-welcome 3.5mm headphone jack.

On the downside, the 8120 still hasn't adopted 3G so you'll be limited to GPRS download rates though it does still remain ultra portable (91g), retains that love-it-or-hate-it SureType keyboard and the everyone-loves-it email client. A microSD slot also makes an appearance while downloadable apps are on the way to allow owners to customise their handsets (Apple take note).

Official pricing has yet to be announced for the 8120, but it shouldn't be much more than the original Pearl meaning from free - depending on contact. While I'm not a Blackberry fan yet (and thus in the minority), if RIM continues to make strides like it has this year then the man may just be for turning...
