There's something completely obscene and over the top about in-dash PMP/GPS units - but also something undeniably appealing...

So continuing this long-running tradition of impressive if excessive devices is Pioneer which has today taken things up another notch.
The 'AVIC-N4' is a single DIN unit which sports a huge 7in flip out, motorised touchscreen display with integrated Bluetooth (with A2DP and AVRCP) for pairing phones or mobile devices, a CD and DVD player, tuner, GPS with Tele Atlas database, MP3, WMA, AAC and DivX codec support and XM/XM NavTraffic for congestion alerts.
If I was being picky though an internal hard drive would've been nice too...
Naturally enough however if watching videos while driving appeals you're going to need a lot of bail money cash to meet the RRP. $1,600 to be precise, along with another $2,000 for a darn good car alarm.
Should that prove too rich for your blood then expect to see a hands-on of the AVIC-N4 on an impending episode of Pimp My Ride (or any other poor taste reality make-over show) very soon.
