I guess I've seen closer renditions of the iPhone from some no-name Far Eastern companies, but not by much...


Aiming to usurp Apple's much hyped/lauded/heavily featured and simultaneously feature-less iPhone, LG has come up with the ‘KS20': a touch screen, Windows Mobile 6 based business friendly handset.

Kicking Apple's pride and joy squarely between the legs is the KS20's inevitable HSDPA connectivity which can operate at a blazing 3.6Mbps. On the downside however the screen is smaller at 2.8 inches (verses the iPhone's 3.5 incher) while its 2MP camera is a dead on match and a slight disappointment.

As the official photography shows, LG has tweaked the WM6 interface with four rather familiar icons along the bottom of the Today Screen, but that plastic stylus will be a turn off for some.

The KS20 is expected in Europe sometime in Q4 and will likely slot in neatly behind LG's own touchscreen, 5MP touting KU990. In all, the KS20 certainly adds depth to what is fast becoming a very impressive range.

That is, unless Apple calls the lawyers in...
