It wouldn’t be the New Year without another ‘leaked’ HTC roadmap, so here it is in its full deliciousness…

hpc.ru was smart enough to get the exclusive and grabbing the majority of admirers will be the ‘Kaiser’ (top left), HTC’s follow up to the completely wonderful Hermes (I’ve had one for 5 months now) which sports the same slide out thumbboard form factor, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi and 400MHz processor but gets our pulses racing with its inbuilt GPS receiver. A spring release is being mooted.

Second we have the HTC ‘Elf’ (top right) which is probably the most visually impressive of the group despite actually being a budget model. It comes equipped with a 2.8in touch screen (I know, it looks bigger) and a touchpad which is a neat departure but then it’s downhill all the way with a low end 200MHz processor and no WiFi. No release date is known for this one.

Also listed is the ‘Wings’ (above left), which is already touted as a successor to the as yet unreleased Vox (announced mid December - I was on holiday, we missed it) a 3G and GPS enabled version which also has a 2.4in QVGA screen, WiFi, Blueooth and a 2MP camera. While the clamshell ‘Erato’ appears to upgrade the popular Qtek 8500 (the last phone to receive the Qtek brand). The Erato will add WiFi and GPS into the fold and revamp the styling as well as boast a sexier external screen.

Finally a mysterious PDA is known to be in development called the ‘Panda’ (above right). All that is certain is the device will feature a massive (3.5 – 3.7in) touch screen of unknown resolution (we pray it signals the step up to VGA or even Hitachi’s superlative 800 x 480).

I’ll keep my eyes peeled for further info as and when it appears (even though the peeler really hurt my eyes last time around).
