Here we go once more… my favourite bunch of muppets are at it again.

Not content with having made the most worthless and exploitative contribution to the digital audio player market in recent history, the once great nightclub turned merchandising whore has taken a mighty impressive crack at producing the most pathetic music phone of all time.

Available exclusively on a 3 contract, the 3G clamshell MOS1 fails hysterically at its primary selling point since it contains just 36MB of memory with no expandable memory slot. In other words enough capacity for seven tracks (!) or one third of a typical rambling MOS remix. Of course this is already laugh out loud funny but considering users are meant to share this storage space with the integrated 1.3 megapixel camera it crosses the line into insulting.

Still, I can’t imagine many pictures be snapped since there will be little point viewing them on the MOS1’s low resolution (200 x 176 pixel) display which is a shame since with only two hours 30 minutes ’optimum’ talk time there won’t be much else to do. As a proposition to disappointed owners I would suggest weight lifting since despite these meagre specs the handset still manages to be 106g and be a chunky 2.5cm thick.

Thankfully a quick surf reveals the MOS1 to be free on every 3 line retail package available. It looks to be worth every penny…
