You’d normally expect to get a 3.5in non-widescreen sat-nav for £110, but Mio clearly has a trick or two up its sleeve. The Spirit 685 offers a 5in widescreen for this price. Not only that, but you also get Western European maps, and even RDS-TMC traffic updates. This is easily one of the best-value sat-navs on the market, with the only downsides being a slightly creaky build quality the bulk of the unit – but that’s a fair trade-off for the larger screen.

This looks great. EU maps, 4 route options (including the useful economical), RMS-TMC updates, IQRoutes, large screen all for this price?!

One small point, I guess its a sample shot, but I dont think much of the fastest route calculated on page 2, when compared to the shortest / economical!

Agree with Malderon, surely Fastest is the one that gets you there soonest and not the one where you get to put your foot down for longer?!

If you live in Ireland DON'T buy a mio, it just does not know were anywhere is.

Only bad thing is you can't find places by coordinates which is sometimes annoying
