Spooky. I was watching how these were made on Discovery Channel's "How It's Made" the other day.
Good review without the pseudo-scientific garbage that accompanies many reviews in the stereophile press - but Danny I think you're going a little far with the "need to win the lottery" thing.
If I read the price correctly, the whole lot is 5 grand. That's not really that much is it, not for a major investment in something that you'd only buy if it was an important part of your enjoyment. I mean, you can barely get a decent car for 5k, high-end push bikes blow through that amount without blinking and lots of people pay that for a long camera lens. And you lot pretty regularly review 15k projectors.
These days, 5k for a full surround system sounds like one rung up from some of the other speaker systems you've reviewed. I suppose the question for us mere mortals is where our spending priorities lie. If I had 15k, would I buy a projector rather than a car (yes) and if I had 5k would I buy these Martin Logans rather than redecorate my house and go on holiday (very probably).
Keep it up, great to see reviews of nice kit.
