I still think perceived picture benefits on expensive Blu-Ray decks are the emperor's new clothes - you've spent big bucks so the picture must be better, right? Digital source, digital output, and any processing should be done in the TV not the deck, so shouldn't a budget deck produce an identical bitstream? I'd like to see a true blind test between an £800 deck and an £80 one.
