Hailo

Originally reviewed by 05 February 2014

Designed to take the faff out of getting a taxi in London, Hailo is an app that lets you call a cab to your location. You can pay with your card rather than cash, and the app is available for both Android phones and iPhones.

Hailo hooks into the London black cabs system, so there’s no chance of you hailing a dodgy cab through it. The app emails you a receipt of the journey too so that if you’re lucky enough to be able to expense your taxi fares through work, you’re not left out of pocket.

As you’d expect of an app that’s basically a portal to help you spend money, Hailo is free to download and free to use.
