I'm an owner of the 46" version of the Connect ID and you need to understand certain things about the sets.

AFAIK all the sets are calibrated at the factory,. This should ensure a reasonable out of the box experience though I found the settings needed tweaking.

Sound quality on the 46" is jaw-droppingly good and I can't imagine they put inferior speakers into the 55" variant. Put the Blade Runner Blu-Ray on, turn the volume up, and you could be in a hih-end cinema.

My 46" has no clouding or torchlighting though I have read it plagues many manufacturers. I would expect Loewe to be more receptive than most should a customer experience this with a retail set.

I've had a very bad experience with the Connect ID 40". They've changed the board 3 times now (the first time there were image freezing problems) and it's still bad - the image is very dark, not at all sharp. In the review above it says that there are "backlight clouding problems" which kind of describes what I'm experiencing. The guy they sent round to fix it had never seen a Loewe before. I'm regretting having bought one now - should have stuck with Sony!
