LG HLX56S Blue Ray Soundbar

This is my first cinema sound system.

I found this on Amazon at a reasonably low price (£300) compared to other Blue Ray sound bars. And this is a latest (2011 July/August) release.



I was a bit hesitant to go for this as I did not find ANY (I meant it…ANY) user reviews (on the internet) even though the expert review had come up with good results.



Here I am writing my first user review & the first on this unit/model!!!!



I set it up & played the first BD (LOTR –Two Towers)……..



It is a treat! I am mesmerised by the sound quality, picture quality & the features!!!

I was able to link it to my home wireless without any issues & after the automatic update I was able to access the latest LG apps.

It basically makes your LCD a smart TV. I love the LG apps (YouTube, Google maps…I am yet to check others…)

And there are games & stuff too.



Also the wireless subwoofer is great so that you don’t need to connect a wire from the unit to this.



The only issue I have with this is that in Hong Kong they issue the system with a wall bracket to wall mount it (As per HKG website). But here in the UK, this doesn’t come in the box. So wall mounting is an issue.


Anyway, after spending a week with this system, I find myself entirely happy with it.
