Yeah, it does have that same styling underneath that makes it look like it's trying to pretend to be thinner than it is. Acer did a much better job with the very similar Timeline 3810T.

Note that you can currently get a 13.3" Macbook Pro for £787. Whilst not wafer thin it is very svelte and fairly light whilst having a lot more oomph, stonking battery life and a built in DVD writer.
