Isn't the number of 'cells' rather irrelevant when comapring battery capacities? It's the total capacity in Watt Hrs (or Joules) that counts. Lots of small cells can't really be compared with a few very large cells, for example. And Amp Hrs doesn't help either as that ignores the voltage of the battery.
This is A level (or GCSE?) shcoll physics. VERY anoying that (a) maufactures are pulling the wool over our eyes, and (b) the press haven't noticed or don't care :-(

While I agree in principle, the whole 'cell thing' is a relatively consistent measure of the batteries capacity even if it's not exact. As an indicator of battery life, though, this X130 just goes to show that neither measurement (cell or Watt hours) can tell you enough on its own.
As for mAh, I wouldn't say there's any wool being pulled any which way. mAh is the traditional measure of a batteries capacity and there are good reasons as to why this convention has come about. Yes, you do also need to know the voltage to know the total energy stored but most of the time you do so its not a problem.

Apart from HP and Dell, who else have released a 1366 x 768 resolution 10" screen?
If this is basically a Wind with a 9-cell battery then it should do well as the Wind is still one of the best Netbooks.

hopefully when windows 7 gets released without a hitch, manufacturers can end all this netbook malarkey and gt back to the original idea of thin and light laptops.
