Fills the gap that's been left since they stopped the M1330, but I doubt it'll be the same spec or build quality as the M1330 was, even at the same price point. Shame really.

It's probably worth mentioning that the new Inspiron 13 has no integrated DVD drive, but uses an external drive instead. You'd think that, without the integrated drive, they could have made it thinner and lighter still, but alas, they haven't.

Tried to buy the old Inspiron 13 but they only had it in one lousy spec which couldn't be configured. It's not gonna be anything special but I'm sure it'll be good value for money.

I will be in the market for a 13" size laptop later this year so it's nice to see more competition arriving.

Actually I stand corrected, the specs are quite impressive. Wonder how much extra the optical drive will cost though.

These do look nice. A clean a simple laptop makes it a good rival for the mac books. And yes I know the mac os is better but at half the price these dells will be attractive to a lot of users.
