what about sky sports HD??? That and films probably the one that would make people change to (or not change from more to the point) Virgin.

Do we know if they're going to restrict this content to those using HDMI?

Currently, they only let their HD movie downloads be viewable over HDMI rather than Component cable which is a bit annoying (and wholly unnecessary seeing as all of SkyHD content and Xboxlive download HD content is viewable over Component cable in all its 720p glory)

@Cavalier
The only way Virgin will get Sky Sports/Movies HD is when OFCOM make Sky :(

@Dan
As they are linear channels they should be viewable via Component the same as BBC HD is

@Dan
Well I hope OFCOM will do that as they seem to be promising. Seeing as how David Cameron now says he will disband OFCOM it would have to happen before the next election - realistic anyone? Not when Murdoch owns all the papers that the politicians need to get elected... Are we seeing a Berlusconisation of the UK media? Only OFCOM can stop it now...

Although FX HD might not have many big name shows, the likes of Burn Notice, Sleeper Cell and Breaking Bad are absolute quality. It's no "meagre offering" compared to the tripe on more popular channels.

Surely Virgin should be getting ITV HD + Channel 4 HD also?

Not true. Living HD is not currently available on Sky.
