Personally I would like to know how the graphics get back onto the laptop screen.

The Asus ROG XG Station uses the Expresscard slot: I thought the Graphics Booster used the AMD XGP port that provides 8 PCI-E 2.0 lanes, rather than the one offered by Expresscard...
@Peter I assume you just need to connect the Graphics Booster using the XGP cable... and supply it with DC power.

At slightly below AGP 1x speeds I wouldn't expect full 3870 performance from this

so say ur laptop GPU has given up the game and died (from the nvidia problems) could you use this as a replacement?
