The touchsmart PC's are multi-touch capable as well you know, the screens that are used are NextWindows an they are capable of tracking two points at the same time, but there arent any drivers yet.

hopefully some drivers will be released soon if this laptop is on its way!

Mutitouch on a PC Screen.... Wow....
Come to think of it. Its not integrated into the OS is it? So a third party app will be required to get it to work. There may well be software compatibility issues, support from other vendors could be required to get it to work with different Apps? Actually, the excitement is over, I'll wait for Apple's version I think, or simply do without.

Hi - to answer your question yes of sorts... XP supports one touch point and Vista supports two. Microsofts only commercial multi touch (ie. more than 2) offering is Surface.

HP - aside from the capacitive screen those specs are of a laptop from 2005......seriously HP

Guys, I just bought this laptop and have had to send it back. The digitizer isn't made by Wacom, it's made by a company called N-Trig, and its driver DOES NOT SUPPORT the Wintab API, which is used by the vast majority of graphics programs to determine pressure levels. In effect, if you buy this laptop, you will not be able to use pen pressure levels with Photoshop, the Gimp or most other programs - Artrage seems to be one of the few programs with which pressure levels work. No reviewer seems to have picked this up - TR team, if you do review this laptop, please take this issue into account. I'd say the majority of Tablet PC users intend to use their machine with Photoshop or similar programs, so this is a serious issue.
