Users or would-be-users of the latest aluminium MacBook range will be pleased to hear that the trackpad problems which have been plaguing some users are now fixed. Admittedly we didn't have any problems with our review unit, but by all accounts quite a few buyers did so it's good to hear a simple firmware fix is all that's required to remedy the issue.

Available via the standard Software Updater, the Trackpad Firmware Update resolves the intermittent unresponsiveness experienced with some systems' trackpads. Anyone experiencing such issues will likely be fed up by now of having clicks randomly not picked up by the pad.

Hopefully this will be the last hardware fault to hit the newly refreshed laptops. Especially as on every other front the design is fantastic and the button-less (or all-one-button to be entirely accurate) trackpad is brilliant - multi-touch is far less of a gimmick than it might sound.

Any other problems you want to own up to, Apple?
