Tempted? Hell Yes!
Any info on resolution? Is it still 1280x768 like the 2133?
Will there be any models with HDD instead of SSD?
Did they keep the expresscard/54 slot like the 2133?

I don't get it - the article reads as if the 1000 and the 700 are exactly the same, but the 700 has the addition of HSDPA.

But the 700 is 100 quid cheaper...

Given the "7" and "10" prefixes, does this actually mean that the 1000 is a 10"er and the 700 is a 7"er with HSDPA?

I'm definitely tempted!

"We didn't, however, expect there to be two systems, NO that we're complaining."

Should be NOT.

Long day Hugo? :)

The HSDPA version is cheaper and comes out earlier but is otherwise identical? Surely some mistake!

*Slaps Hugo*

Mini 700 price is minus HSDPA. 3G equipped versions will be sold via network operators ala Dell Mini 9. :)

Apolgies for the confusion, story has been updated.

Sorry, still confused...

If the Compaq 700 is basically the same as the HP 1000 except for the fact that it has HSPDA yet it is £100 cheaper because it currently doesn't have HSPDA surely the 700 is the same as a 1000 just £100 cheaper?

Think of it as a syllologism...

(1) The 700 is the same as the 1000 except it has HSDPA
(2) The current 700 is £100 cheaper because it doesn't have HSPDA yet
(3) hence the 700 is the same as the 1000 just £100 cheaper

QED?

My head is full of Nehalem, I can't cope with this netbook stuff as well.

Yeah I'm confused by that as well...seems there must be some mistake with the pricing.

However I am still tempted to go for the 700, any idea what networks it will be available on, and when they'll be out on said networks?
