Sony Vaio TT Specs Leaked - Update: It's Official

If rumour is to be believed, Sony has a new range of ultra-portable notebooks set to launch before long, under the name of the Vaio TT series. This is good news, as I've long maintained that the Sony Vaio TZ is the most desirable notebook going so an updated version will be simply awesome! Even Riyad, who recently defected from the TZ to the Lenovo Thinkpad X300 should concede that.

The info was leaked by Sony's comparison engine, showing four configuration options, three of which are differentiated only by colour and a fourth, the Carbon Fibre Black model, which also boasts a higher spec. The three base systems sit as follows:
- 11in, 1,366 x 768 LED-backlit screen
- Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 (low voltage, 1.2GHz, 3MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB)
- 2GB DDR3 800MHz RAM
- 160GB hard drive
- Intel GS45 chipset with GMA 4500MHD graphics
- Built-in DVD-drive
- HDMI, VGA, 2 USB ports
- Ethernet, Draft-N wireless, Bluetooth
Hopefully Sony will make an official announcement soon. Even if that happens we'll probably be waiting a fair while for pricing information. That's probably good for my mental state - these are not going to be cheap!
Update
It's official! Starting from $2,095 (~£1,131), stretching all the way up to $4,345 (~£2,345) fully pimped-out. Ouch!

anybody who mentions this notebook and a netbook in the same sentence should be beaten 3 times with a trout to the theme song of the adams family. *looks harshly at Aspegic *
