If you were tempted by Asus' N10 netbook, or any other models in the N-series for that matter, and wanted some UK-specific details then rejoice for Asus has revealed a few. Most importantly, we have UK prices for all four system in the range.

Starting with the N10, £499 will get you a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a GeForce 9300M a 250GB hard drive and a 10.2in, 1,024 x 600 screen. A 12.1in N20 with a Core 2 Duo CPU a 320GB hard drive and HSDPA adaptor starts from £649 while a 14.1in N8 kicks off at £699.
The largest N-series system, the N50, starts from £749 and offers a 15.4in screen for the money. All of the N-series systems pack Windows Vista, as well as Asus' ExpressGate quick-booting Linux mini-OS.
Aside from the N10, those prices and specs are give or take in line with the rest of Asus' line-up, and those of its rivals. The N10, though, is trickier game. £499 puts it in line (price wise) with systems such as the Toshiba Satellite A300 and Samsung R410. That creates an interesting conundrum of features versus portability.
We don't mind being given a choice, though, and as it doesn't carry the Eee branding the N10 isn't going to chip away at the cheap-but-extremely-cheerful reputation that range has built up.
As the saying goes: you pays your money and you takes your choice.

Far too expensive. You can get a decent 12" laptop for less than £499 these days. In fact, Asus has a dual core one for that price.
