@robbert buthker: To parphrase a favourite soundbite on this site "Apples and Oranges". Ita all do to with price methinks; the whole idea of a Netbook is to deliver Network browsing capability (plus basic office, appliction, media support etc) in a compact and cheap package; its not just a cheap Notebook (you can get those for about £400). So the cheaper screen-res is just one way of cutting the cost. Hey, maybe (finger in the air) that difference in cost is only a tenner - but if you add a bunch of tenners up for each component in the system you end up with the £280 price point rather than the 1,498.99 (RRP) for the bottom of the range Sony TZ!!! :)

Hugo and TR, Get your facts right!
This *same* laptop has been out for at least 2 months in the UK, in the aisles of your local Sainsbury's, albeit for £299!!

I don't get it. You had laptops with 10 inch screens sporting 1280x768 resolutions before (Averatec 1000, Sony TZ, a couple of others). This is not rocket science, and it spoils the deal.
