Lenovo Auctions Olympic-Themed Notebooks For Charity

Whether you've followed the general news or controversy (such as the proposed UK boycott) surrounding the forthcoming Olympic Games in Beijing, there's no denying that it's going to be a big event - it's the Olympics for goodness sake. A perfect excuse, then, for a manufacturer to hope to score some publicity, and maybe even do a bit of good at the same time. Take Lenovo, which is auctioning off a set of Olympic-themes laptops signed by competitors.

The notebook is signed by British Olympic badminton team member, Gail Emms making it a veritable collector's item. If you're into shuttlecock-based sports, that is.

As the final price of the laptop is the result of the auction and, more importantly, the proceeds go to charity there's no way we can comment on value. Besides, product itself isn't really important, it's what's behind it that counts.
