Indeed. I've got an M1330 and plan to take my chances without the fix. Will keep monitoring GPU temps to see how it reacts. If it starts to reach 90C you know you've got a problem.

For some reason I thought so. Thanks for the warning anyway, Bytes! Even though they do try to cover it up by describing it as "Added enhancement for thermal control". After all, since they have now admitted it to be a construction error, it should be no problem to get it fixed if it should burn away. Just remember to do the daily backups.

it's the problem of lack of diversity - being tied to one company is bound to have its problems.
