The new BIOS makes your GPU fan spin at high-speed non-stop.
This is not fix, just stupidity, that kills your battery life.

Indeed. I've got an M1330 and plan to take my chances without the fix. Will keep monitoring GPU temps to see how it reacts. If it starts to reach 90C you know you've got a problem.

For some reason I thought so. Thanks for the warning anyway, Bytes! Even though they do try to cover it up by describing it as "Added enhancement for thermal control". After all, since they have now admitted it to be a construction error, it should be no problem to get it fixed if it should burn away. Just remember to do the daily backups.
