Don't waste your money
- Constant printing failures
- Short life cartridges
I was thrilled to hear that this printer was easy on consumables. However, what they *don't* tell you is that you'll be replacing your cartridges very frequently. The only way to get more life is to by the "XL" cartridge at a higher price. Another little gimmick is, if you run out of color ink, it will not let you continue printing in B&W only, as I was able to with so many other printers! The issue that killed it for me with this printer is it would stop printing will a full cartridge for no apparent reason, just like another reviewer stated. The PC sees the printer connection, but blank pages or hardly legible pages would print. I'm off to buy another! printer today. What a waste of my money!

HATE THIS PRINTER

I bought this printer when I had a WONDERFUL EPSON printer only because I kept reading reviews that talked about "ink usage" and how this printer was so "green" and consumer perfect. The reviews and hype sent me to BUY. I have had problems since day one. POOR quality printing, having to change cartridges CONSTANTLY, replacing the cartridges has been messy. (I have ink all over my hands, desk and papers on my desk right now..., I have had to "install the drivers" repeatedly (and then it shuts my computer down to cycle the installation and unless I have saved the last jot and tittle, I lose the document I was trying to print (an hour ago now...) I have spent several hours today trying to get less than 10 pages to print and I have YET to get them printed (change BOTH cartridges and they have been installed less than a week with very little usage - about 10 pages) I am going to go buy ANOTHER printer today...as soon as I finish this review. I just wish the original reviews (that I DID read BEFORE I bought this printer) had been honest...

Needs new ink cartridges for each print!
- scanner works well
- cartridges don't work after first use
The machine prints well when cartridges first installed but if you then do not need to print anything for a few days, you will find that the cartridges - though showing 'full' - will not print despite cleaning or anything else you try - so VERY expensive as new cartridges needed for each print IF a gap of 4 or 5 days between use. I have now scrapped the machine and bought a japanese model!
