Poor Cliff. You, like me, must really dread the advent of yet another Kodak compact review! Noise, 'painterly'(compression) artefacts and severe CA are the hallmarks of a good 21st century Kodak digital, doncha know.

Still, if it's got the name Kodak on it, it must be good, innit. :-/

I wouldn't call the CA in the pics 'severe', Raffles and the peeps who'll buy this camera won't be into pixel peeping and will be happy with their 6 X 4 kiosk prints where the defects you mention will not be noticeable.

Just like the Z915, the M530 will most likely sell like hot cakes and if I didn't own the DX6490 and DX7590, I certainly wouldn't kick it out of bed! IMO it's great value.
