The harsh treble that you put into the cons lessens as you burn them in. I own these and I did notice that harsh treble, but i burned them in and that harsh treble disappeared. Once you burn them in, they become a mids forward earbud. I found that these sound similarly to the Sennheiser PX100-ii but are less detailed and sound less natural. So if anyone looking to get these, go for it but you must burn them in. They burn in in about 20-30 hours if I remember correctly. Leave them plugged into your mp3 player and either play music or white noise through it all day (You can achieve white noise if your mp3 player has a radio. Put it to a radio station that it cannot reach and that buzzing kind of sound is what your looking for).
