Good read.
I have the previous x3 and find it a fantastic PJ.
For 3D, as mentioned, it can give cross talk on SOME 3D content. I have found that letting the PJ warm up well before viewing 3D helps. But really speaking on decent quality 3D movies its a non issue.
On the point of auto change resolution to 3D. I use Total Media Theatre 5 and that switches resolution for me.
Overall the JVC PJ is an excellent product as stated. Robust, quiet, stunning black levels and even without CMS a great picture when calibrated.
