I am not an electronics buff but not stupid either (my wife may disagree) but I bought a SB200 because it was 'plug and play'. I have 'plugged' but it does not 'play'. There is power to the unit. Any ideas?

Hi Greg,

I'll do my best to help you. I have read through the Quick-Start guide PDF from JBL and it all looks standard. To help you further you will need to provide a few simple bits of information for me:

- are you using the optical or analogue connectors?
- what are you using as the audio source? For example, a Sky box, DVD player or maybe just the TV itself?

This soundbar supports two sources plus Bluetooth (which, honestly, you are unlikely to use since it would be mostly streaming music from your mobile phone). Have you tried cycling through them using the Source button on the remote? Make sure you have a show playing so you will hear the sound when you are on the correct Input.

Good luck!

Always turns off (sleep/power save mode) after 10 minutes of Bluetooth play. Tried ensuring all phone volume was at max settings. Even kept screen on and continuous interaction with phone to ensure nothing was sleeping on the phone side. Extremely annoying. I will never buy HK/JBL product again.

I have exact same problem as Tim . It shows that it is connected to our brand new Panasonic thru the audio connection of red/white. It powers on but no sound through it. Can someone please advise on this. Jbl makes it sound as simple as "plug in audio and go" but no sound.
