"At around £79.99, they bridge the gap between the budget a-JAYS and the rather special dual-driver q-JAYS."

The q-jays are a discontinued product and apparently nobody seems to have stock anymore.

You seem to be right. Can't even find any on eBay. I have a pair in the cupboard, stockpiled for the apocalypse.

I don't understand why Jays have stopped making them, given that they seemed so popular. I can't decide which others would be as good. Ideas?

The Ultimate Ears 700 are about as close as you can get in terms of both design and sound signature. I feel the treble is a mite too much on the 700s, but they're nevertheless very good. And occasionally you can find them for under £70 from Play or direct from Logitech.
