The capacity is around 350 litres, which means it should hold around two trolley's worth of food with room to spare. If you’ve got a large family you need to feed and like going shopping only once a week or so, you should be sorted here.
The unit has four shelves and one fruit and vegetable drawer. The fruit and veg drawer is slightly small compared to the size of the fridge, but is spacious compared to the other crisper drawers on the market nonetheless and should be plenty big enough to store fresh produce inside. The door has five shelves, the bottom shelf is wider, to fit bottles, and the top door shelf is a dairy box with a lid.
The SAN400S has a very high energy efficiency rating of A, meaning it uses a fraction of the energy that older fridges would have used, saving you money on bills. The temperature controls are easy to read and easy to use, and are located at the top of the fridge, behind the door. There is also the option of compressor cooling, which is handy for when lots of food has been put in the fridge at once; activating this option cools the fridge down to keep fresh produce for longer. The fridge is also fitted with anti-bacterial protection, to keep your food safe.
The outside of the fridge is simple, but elegant, with a silver metallic look and a protruding handle for ease of access. The only unfortunate issue is that there could be more shelf space, but as there is such a large capacity, this does not cause too much of a problem, it just means some foods might have to be stacked. Overall, this is a fantastic fridge, reliably built and very efficient.
