The freestanding Indesit IWDC6125 is an impressive appliance. Although it might not be sexy or stylish, the unit has considerable power behind it, delivering the washing prowess promised by its A-grade wash efficiency rating that ensuring your clothes will emerge spotless.
Sadly, you can’t get a great deal of clothes clean at once with the Indesit IWDC6125 playing host to just a 6kg washing capacity with the compact drum further limited by the unit’s disappointing 1200 revolutions per minute spin speeds. The spin efficiency itself only has a rating of B, so you’ll have to spend a little longer drying your clothes than you would with other machines.
There are some good things about the IWDC6125, though. For starters it’s a combined washer dryer, so it’s good for people with limited space as you only need the one appliance to do two jobs. It’s also a condenser drying so you’d don’t need a vent kit.
With a plethora of useful programmes, you can set a fast wash programme with a spin speed of either 600 revolutions per minute or 1200 revolutions per minute. On top of this, there’s a special silk programme, one just for jeans and a sports wash that’s excellent for washing trainers. Best of all there’s an Express Wash & Dry option that has clothes washed and dried within 45 minutes.
An automatic consumption monitor means that you’ll only use the exact amount of water and energy needed to clean and dry your clothes whilst the automatic sensor in the dryer will stop drying as soon as your clothes are dry, cutting down on energy wastage. Beware though, the dryer creases clothes quite badly.
Overall it’s very easy to use removing the need to fiddle about with the manual every time you want to put a load on. The Indesit IWDC6125 also has features like a delay timer, so you can set the washing to start after you leave the house (which you might need to do because it’s very, very noisy).
