I bought this phone in a hurry after I dropped and smashed a Huawei Sonic. They are similarly spec-ed entry-level phones, with the Huawei having a bigger screen (with the same resolution). But the HTC is just that much better in everything. The call quality is clearer, battery life longer and the software less buggy. Plus the HTC was cheaper, in fact less than GBP100 where I got it. So I'd be giving it an 8 or 8.5. Really happy with it.
