But how far can you be from, lets say a Airport Extreme to get a very good signal?
I'm sure that superficially this looks a good printer but with the reliability problems that HP inkjet printers appear to suffer (HP Forum: http://tinyurl.com/yabuy5g) I personally wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.
Hi I looked at the feature table and could not tell whether it can do duplex printing or scanning.
I must disagree when it comes to the color cost per page. Because of the tri-color cartridge when one color runs out the whole cartridge has to be replaced even if there is more of the other colors left. Your cost per page is no more then an educated guess based on the cost of the cartridges not the real out put of the cartridges. These tri-color cartridge are one of the biggest rip-offs in the printer industry today and the manufactures know it. You continue to perpetrate the manufactures faults cost values for these types of products Due to the tri-color cartridge how can you give this product a value of 9 when it should be 7 or less? When ever some one ask me which inkjet printer or all in one to buy I always suggest they get the one with at least 4 separate color cartridge when one runs out you replace that individual cartridge.
Got to agree with Jake on the tri-color cartridges. I have a HP7410 AIO which has run steadily for 3 years or so, and to be fair to HP the new Windows 7 drivers have improved life with it an awful lot - it now just works and scans really well. I would consider one of these as a replacement if it died though, the ADF scanner is a godsend.
@Jake - so who would you recommend then? I think from an earlier review Epson are making a big point of separate cartridges but I think they were quite noisy???
HP has a systemic software problem with Windows 7 and Norton and other firewalls. Be careful before buying high dollar printers.
@Peter: I don't think this printer has dublex capability. I'm sure it would be much more expensive otherwise.
I'm considering buying this printer for my home office, but in my network I have one laptop running on Linux, does anyone know if this printer is compatible with Linux OS?
This printer uses the 901 cartridge and is "NOT REFILLable"".I not buy buy another HP anything!!
I have refilled mine at Costco multiple times (901XL)
What's the best printer for you?
